My XGSPON ISP is serving up PPPoE sessions (for 10G connections...).
PPPoE sucks because NICs won't do multiqueue and thus pin to a single IRQ.
This sucks due to losing multi-core packet processing. But worry no more!
PPPoE Downlink is now hardware accelerated via custom FPGA gateware!
PPPoE Uplink is coming soon too, even though that *can* be multiqueue..
